NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to coordinate and manage the national Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Team meeting(s). Working as part of the national Managed Clinical Network (MCN) team you will be responsible for the efficient running of the national meeting(s). This involves organising the meeting(s), ensuring the necessary documentation is available to allow appropriate treatment decision-making, recording the outcome and decisions made at the meeting(s) and coordinating the patient pathway.
The other aspect of role is the collection, collation and analysis of clinical audit data for region/services, including QPI data, and the provision of reports to MDT members and Managed Clinical Network.
This post may involve regular travel between hospital sites and occasional travel to other treatment centres across NHS Scotland to ensure robust working arrangements are established and maintained.
The successful candidate will have well developed administrative, communication and analytical skills and demonstrate the ability to work with a range of personnel, administrative and professional staff. Post is based within GGC. .
Minimum Requirements
Essential
* A degree; or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
* ECDL in Microsoft Office professional packages; or able to demonstrate equivalent competency in using packages
* The post holder should have experience working within the NHS or similar organisation and have a wide knowledge of the workings of the NHS.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* High level of communication skills, including oral, written and interpersonal skills.
* Experience of producing reports, including written, numerical and graphical information skills.
* Experience of all aspects of project planning, including data handling, report writing, an ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
* Experience of working in and with teams.
* Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
* Knowledge of cancer and cancer pathways
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Facilitation, influencing and negotiating skills.
* Knowledge of obligations with regard to the Data Protection Act, Caldecott Guidance and the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
Desirable
* Knowledge of clinical effectiveness & audit, which includes methodology, sampling, audit tool design, database design, data collection, analysis and report writing.
* Working knowledge of common IT applications in use in NHS Scotland
