Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Production Coordinator to join our small, dedicated team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth running of manufacturing operations ensuring production is cost-effective, meets quality specifications, and that goods are delivered to customers on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a robust production schedule to meet customer demand and optimise manufacturing efficiency.
* Ensure labour and material requirements are met; communicate any shortages promptly.
* Evaluate raw materials and bill of materials to confirm readiness for production.
* Track and report the progress of goods in manufacture, ensuring deadlines are met and any issues are communicated across departments.
* Monitor supplier and production performance, identifying and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and planning accuracy.
* Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust plans to maintain production flow.
* Generate and distribute KPI reports, analysing performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support process optimisation and cost-reduction activities across production and logistics.
About You:
* Previous experience in a production planning or coordination role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to liaise effectively with multiple departments.
* Highly organised, with attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities.
* A proactive team player with the flexibility to thrive in a small-company environment.
