Job Overview
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service within the Diabetes and Endocrinology Secretarial team. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient waiting list management for the speciality, acting as Medical Secretary to Cardiothoracic consultants in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, communicating appointments and admission related information to patients and carers, and typing correspondence within performance targets.
The post holder will be based at a UHNM site and will have a Consultant(s) allocated to them. They will also provide support for the MDT Coordinator and help the Team Leader Medical Secretary in delivering administrative services.
The role is a medical secretary role and includes all office duties such as typing letters, clinic alterations, answering telephone calls, using software packages such as Microsoft Office, Careflow, and IPortal, along with other office-based tasks.
