Are you passionate about renewable energy and looking for a role where you can make a tangible impact? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Solar PV Surveyor to join our team and help us deliver high-quality solar PV installations to commercial properties. In addition, there will be an increasing requirement to assess the feasibility for commercial battery and EV Charger solutions, as the business expands the product offering.
In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll be responsible for conducting site surveys to assess the feasibility of solar PV installations, designing systems, and working closely with our project teams to ensure successful delivery. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will also be the key point of contact with customers, addressing any questions and providing support throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys on commercial properties to assess the feasibility of solar PV, battery and EV charger installations
* Collect and analyse data related to energy usage, roof space, shading, site logistics, and access
* Design solar PV systems using specialised software
* Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, ensuring smooth communication and project flow
* Respond to customer queries, providing clear and helpful information about solar PV systems during site surveys
* Work collaboratively with the project team to finalise system designs and prepare installation documentation
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of solar PV systems

Essentials:
* Understanding of electrical principles, construction codes, or building structures (e.g. roof types) in commercial properties
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical details to non-technical customers
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively
* Strong IT skills and experience with design software
* A valid full driver’s license

Your base of Operations: Office, warehouse, and beyond
Our head office is in Chippenham, Wiltshire, with additional offices and warehouses in Lincoln, Ringwood (Hampshire), and Kent. For this role, we’re looking for candidates based in the Oxford area to help give us better UK Coverage. The role is majority remote work. The position will involve some travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Our working hours are 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday.
