Overview
Applications are invited for Endorsed Midwives to join the Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) as Endorsed Clinical Midwives at Bentley Health Service (BHS) in the Midwifery Birth Centre (MBC). The MBC provides continuity of care from conception through to 6 weeks postpartum by the same midwife for each woman.
Position and Pool Details
We are seeking to establish a pool of experienced, passionate and caring Endorsed Clinical Midwives to join our MBC team, delivering evidence‑based, high‑quality patient care as autonomous practitioners. This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time. The pool will be open for 12 months.
1. The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications throughout the timeframe and will assess on a regular basis.
2. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool and appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within any EMHS facility.
3. Appointments may be made from this pool until 05/10/2026.

Responsibilities
Provide evidence‑based, high‑quality maternity care as an autonomous practitioner across pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal care. Support continuity of care and contribute to the teamwork within the MBC.
Qualifications and Registrations
Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a Registered Midwife with Endorsement to prescribe schedule 2, 3, 5 and 8 medications required for midwifery practice. Applicants should hold or be eligible to apply for Endorsement across pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal care.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for permanent positions in the public sector.
Location and Services
The new MBC is located at Bentley Health Service within a local community setting with dedicated facilities. Services include antenatal, intrapartum/birthing and postnatal care.

WA Health policies require criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
