Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
2. Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties
3. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support
4. Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in learning
5. Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will:
10. Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
11. Be patient, caring, and resilient
12. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
13. Be able to work effectively as part of a team
14. Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
