About the Role:
Higham Lane North Academy is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Assistant Site Manager.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, skilled and experiences individuals. The successful candidate will need to show that they have the ability and vision to be a vital part of the opening and shaping of this brand new 11-16 school.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to IT & Facilities Manager for ensuring the appropriate care, cleanliness, safety, security, maintenance and facilities management services for the premises and its site. Management of staff providing cleaning, maintenance and caretaking services. Advising and reporting on all aspects of site maintenance, including the completion of site-specific risk assessments
Responsibility for people (other than employees supervised/managed): The post has some direct impact on the well-being of individuals or groups, particularly in terms of health and safety and security.
Responsibility for staff: The post has direct responsibility for a small team of staff, including input to recruitment decisions, supervision, work allocation, checking work, performance management plus overseeing contractors working on site.
Responsibility for budget: The post has some responsibility for financial resources, involving placing orders, verifying invoices and monitoring expenditure against specific site budgets.
Responsibility for physical resources: The post has considerable responsibility for the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of a range of equipment or buildings and responsibility for security of buildings.

Please be aware that this role is at Central England Academy Trust's brand-new secondary school, Higham Lane North Academy, opening in September 2025.
Higham Lane North Academy is set to open with up to five forms of entry (150 places) in Year 7. This state-of-the-art school and community resource is at the new, Milby Meadows neighbourhood on Upper Farm Drive, Nuneaton Warwickshire, CV11 6YN. It will grow in line with the local need for additional secondary school places until reaching full capacity as a 920-pupil school. The school will include a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) with up to 20 places available by 2030.
