Are you a passionate and resilient Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Hays Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025.
Your new schoolThis innovative and inclusive SEMH school in Salford provides a nurturing and structured environment for students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. With small class sizes, a strong pastoral team, and a therapeutic approach to education, the school ismitted to helping every student achieve their full potential—both academically and personally.
Your new role
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
2. Differentiate content to support individual learning needs
3. Build strong, supportive relationships with students
4. Contribute to the school’s inclusive and therapeutic ethos
5. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience teaching Science at secondary level
8. A strong understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed practice
9. Excellent classroom management andmunication skills
10. Amitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
