Responsibilities
As a Palace Host (Sales) at Kensington Palace you will work as part of a team to provide the highest level of customer service and create memorable experiences for visitors, contributing to on-site sales and the charity’s impact.
Your main role is to support the delivery of on-site sales targets and KPIs through Retail sales, Admissions sales & Membership sales.
You will work flexibly in positions including (but not limited to) Retail, Admissions and Membership sales points, including leading on fire evacuation and supporting Palace Host (Guides) and Palace Host colleagues across the site at the entrance, in visitor bag searching, ticket scanning, State Apartments and seasonal exhibition spaces when required.
You will ensure Retail and Admissions areas are presented to the expected standards and that all published ticketing and cash handling procedures are adhered to. You will work on a rota basis that includes weekend and bank holiday working.
You will also lead on customer service and sales activities, collaborating with other teams to achieve targets and maintain visitor satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and working as part of a team, with a strong drive for achieving sales targets. You will have a positive and flexible approach, being able to adapt your style and respond to visitor needs.
Essential: experience in customer service, team collaboration, and a results-driven mindset. Ability to adapt to varying roles (Retail, Admissions, Membership) and flexible working hours.
