The Production Supervisor Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will take responsibility for day-to-day shop floor operations across a mixed manual and automated production and assembly environment, ensuring performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
You will be leading teams within a site of around 30-35 employees, working across machining, assembly and support functions while supporting operational stability and improvement.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor
* Supervise day-to-day production activities across assembly and machining
* Drive delivery of safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets
* Lead and support shop floor teams to achieve production output
* Maintain high levels of team performance and engagement
* Support production planning and coordination of workflow
* Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
* Work closely with engineering, supply chain and operations teams
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
Requirements for the Production Supervisor Role
* Experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar
* Background within manufacturing, engineering or assembly environments
* Experience leading or supervising shop floor teams
* Strong people management and communication skills
* Hands‑on approach with the ability to lead from the front
* Understanding of production processes and team‑based environments
* Proactive mindset with a focus on delivery and performance
