About the Team: Warwickshire has a fantastic Fostering and Kinship Service, which is child focused. We recruit foster carers, assess, train and supervise and support them. We are fortunate to have psychologist practitioners who are based in our team. We will offer the successful candidate regular supervision and career progression. Terms and Conditions apply About the Role: We are recruiting for the role of Kinship Supervising Social Worker in our Fostering and Kinship Team covering Warwickshire on a permanent full-time basis. Details of the role: Provide a range of support to carers and young people to maintain the stability in foster homes for Kinship carers, including providing supervision and support to foster carers To support Private Foster carers and complete assessments. Undertake Fostering Home Performance reviews to complete SGO addendum reports for court Support as required with standards of care, position of trust, allegations, placement planning meeting and placement support meetings, and to be part of the duty team Click here to download our Why work for Us Brochure Key Requirements: The role of the Kinship Supervising Social Worker is a key position that brings together the needs of children and young people who are looked after with the support element of foster carers. We expect you to work with foster carers as partners and guide them to their full potential within parameters of the Fostering National Minimum Standards 2011. We come from a restorative practice base and encourage and celebrate successes and support to find ways of making a difference when things just don’t go so well. For this post we are looking to recruit a Fostering Supervising Social Worker for a permanent position of full time 37 hours. The post is countywide, and the majority of your foster carers will be living in the north of the county. We are offering this role so that we can meet the needs of increasingly growing fostering kinship service. Importantly your work will be child focused, analytical, and based on safeguarding evidence. Some evening and weekend work is required. We would welcome you into a stable and established team and offer training and high-quality supervision. Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
