Job overview

The Primary Care Services Directorate is looking for a number of dynamic and highly motivated administrators to join the admin teams to support the day to day running of the RWT PCN practices.

The post holder(s) must be flexible, a good team player with a positive attitude, have an empathetic manner, excellent communication skills, organisational aptitude, ability to work under pressure and a good understanding of basic IT packages. Attention to detail is expected at all times. Previous reception experience/office based role is essential. The post holder(s) may at times be required to work at different sites to meet the demands of the service.

Main duties of the job

Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of administrative support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team

Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

To provide a comprehensive reception and administrative support to the practice e.g., specific responsibilities within the practice clinical systems and some personnel administration.

To enthusiastically support the Practice team in developing systems of improvement and new innovations.

Qualifications

* GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in English and Maths
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration Qualification or relevant experience


Experience

* Experience using Microsoft Office applications
* Customer Care Experience
* EMIS Experience


Communication

* Evidence of excellent communications skills both verbally and written demonstrated with people at all levels and in all circumstances
