We are looking for a (Senior) Engineer (m/w/d) CFD Simulation specializing in CFD simulations to support vehicle development projects at our Cologne headquarters.

Job description / Tasks:
* conduct 3D-CFD simulations, including ICE, in-cylinder, and air path-flow simulation
* Simulation of non-reactive and reactive flow
* Combustion modelling of hydrogen and other sustainable fuels
* Collaboration with universities and other leading external research institutions to drive state-of-the-art development and innovation
* Strong emphasis on personal responsibility and self-directed work
The successful candidate will:
* hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering
* have significant experience in CFD simulation within a professional environment in vehicle development
* be proficient in Star CCM+, CONVERGE, and GTPower
* have knowledge and experience with future energy carriers such as e-fuels and hydrogen
* possess a good working knowledge of Catia V5, Cantera, and Python (advantageous)
* be able to speak and write professional English
* show interest in working in an international team and demonstrate intercultural competence, with an affinity for Japanese culture
* be a true team player, accustomed to working in a structured, thorough, and self-organized manner
