Job overview
The Royal Wolverhampton Trust are currently seeking to appoint a Consultant Obstetrician to join the Perinatal Services Directorate. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant who will work alongside the existing team to help grow, develop and innovate the service.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Obstetrician with an interest in Fetal Medicine.
The department is focused on meeting the challenges presented in the recent national review and achieving the safety ambition of maternity services. The successful candidate will join a team of highly dedicated medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals committed to providing a high-quality service to women.
This is a non-resident post with current on-call commitments for Obstetrics.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent at the time of interview.

Main duties of the job
In conjunction with Consultant and senior colleagues, to provide the obstetric service with particular interest in fetal medicine in the Directorate of Perinatal Services. In conjunction with Consultant and senior colleagues, to play a full part in the out-of-hours on-call service for the department.
In conjunction with Consultant and senior colleagues, to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate .
In conjunction with Consultant and senior colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met.
