SEMH Teaching Assistant – Flexible Roles (Blandford Forum, Dorset) - Immediate Start
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for passionate and adaptable SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a specialist alternative education provision in Blandford Forum.
This unique setting supports children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs as well as additional learning difficulties.
Through a holistic approach that blends academic, therapeutic and practical experiences, pupils are encouraged to build confidence, resilience and essential life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the team on both full-time and part-time contracts, Monday to Friday.
You will work with pupils aged 11–16, supporting their academic progress in English and Maths while also engaging them in outdoor learning, vocational projects and therapeutic activities.
The role is varied, rewarding and best suited to individuals who can adapt to different learning styles and environments.
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH and/or additional needs
* A flexible, confident and resilient approach to support both classroom and outdoor learning
* A full UK driving licence, as public transport is limited and travel may be required
* A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed academically, socially and emotionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
