Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)?
GSL Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) with experience supporting children with SEN to join a welcoming school in Hull from September. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in helping young learners build confidence, develop essential skills, and engage with their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities for EYFS Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 and group support to children in an EYFS setting with SEN.
* Assist teachers with delivering creative, play-based, and structured learning activities.
* Use tailored strategies to support speech, language, social, and emotional development.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in an EYFS or nursery setting, with SEN support experience preferred.
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with young children.
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
* Strong communication and team-working skills.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
