NRL arerecruiting aSenior Control Systems Engineeron acontract basis (inside IR35)to support critical infrastructure projects across thenuclear and highly regulated sectors. Based inWarrington, this is your opportunity to take ownership of complex automation systems and deliver high-integrity solutions that matter.
This is your chance to:
* Be based inWarrington– with regular travel to client sites across the UK for surveys, commissioning, and delivery.
* Take the lead onSiemens and Rockwell-based control systems– from concept through to commissioning.
* Own thehardware and control panel designprocess – and ensure every detail meets the highest standards.
* Deliver projects innuclear and safety-critical environments– where precision and compliance are non-negotiable.
* Workinside IR35– with a contract rate of£50–£60/hr (umbrella)that reflects your expertise.
Your Role:
You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of control and automation systems – from initial site surveys and design through to testing, commissioning, and client handover. You’ll lead on both software and hardware aspects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient solutions.
You’ll need to bring:
* Proven experience withSiemens (TIA Portal, S7)andRockwell (RSLogix, Studio 5000)platforms.
* Strong background inhardware designandcontrol panel engineering.
* Experience working innuclear or other highly regulated industries.
* A proactive, delivery-focused mindset – with the confidence to lead from the front.
* Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
* Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance.
