The Governing Body of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a nurturing, motivated and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to work with several children with additional educational needs, primarily within our Key Stage 1 classes. This position is permanent and term-time only, with a planned start date of Monday 13 April 2026 (although we are able to offer some flexibility for the right candidate). This is a 30-hour per week post, working closely alongside our class teachers, SENCo and external professionals to help children grow socially, emotionally and academically. The role will involve a mixture of one-to-one support for several children who require a more bespoke curriculum and small-group interventions. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook, excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour.
