Location: Alcester/Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 & Excellent Benefits
Contract: 12 month FTC/Maternity Cover
Workplace: Onsite 5 days a week, 40 hours per week
Our client, a leading Heavy Haulage Transport company, is seeking a SHEQ Advisor/Coordinator responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety within the business and assisting with current SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
Key responsibilities:
1. Contribute to achieving SHEQ accreditations in line with the company's strategic plan.
2. Ensure policies, procedures, and risk assessments are correctly implemented across the business.
3. Review risk assessments annually, including COSHH assessments.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to health and safety, environmental, and quality systems.
5. Maintain certifications for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001.
6. Assist in audits and implement corrective actions.
7. Investigate accidents and near-misses, record findings, and implement changes.
8. Coordinate and participate in H&S safety inspections with the H&S team.
9. Conduct accident and incident investigations, producing corrective and preventative action plans.
10. Identify safety, health, and environmental training needs; manage course bookings including CSCS, CPCS, and E-learning.
11. Provide health and safety advice to the business and support management in HSEQ matters.
12. Manage daily H&S activities and conduct safety briefings and communications.
13. Maintain professional knowledge and qualifications related to HSEQ management.
Qualifications/Skills:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards).
* Knowledge of ISO certification processes.
* Excellent communication skills with stakeholders across the business.
This role is accessible from Stratford-upon-Avon, South Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Henley-in-Arden, and Kidderminster.
