Main purpose of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best global licensed franchises across the entire world as well as a strong portfolio of our own proprietary brands. The Senior National Account Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation of our business growth strategy.
The Senior National Account Manager will combine commercial acumen with customer engagement to build and develop short and long-term growth strategies with major accounts.
We’re looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial attitude and extensive knowledge and understanding of selling and marketing to the UK’s national retailers. This role will involve some international travel to attend trade shows and customer meetings as required. Toy industry experience is a must.
Key duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
* Working closely with the UK Sales Lead to define core objectives for turnover, product volumes, and purchasing budgets.
* Sourcing and developing short and long-term business development and growth strategies with major accounts.
* Building and nurturing long lasting customer relationships with strategic partners.
* Overseeing seasonal range planning, including the introduction of new ranges.
* Own and exceed annual growth expectations whilst maintaining margin integrity.
* Deliver frequent management reporting, presenting results, forecasts, sales strategies, market trends and competitor activity.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of brand awareness and the toy market dynamics: proactively seeking new opportunities within the brand.
* Frequent travel to visit key existing customer accounts as well as prospecting new customers and pipeline opportunities.
* Ownership of strategic account plans
* Undertaking data analysis for effective planning and decision making

* Full ownership of strategic account plans
* Accurate and insightful analysis of data for effective planning and decision making
* Nurturing and maintenance of long lasting client relationships
* Ability to confidently address and tackle challenges without a high level of direction
Education and experience
* Ideally 5+ years’ experience within a senior sales position
* Ideally 10+ years' experience with toy industry sales experience
* Confident working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience in a fast-paced and customer-facing role
* Excellent commercial acumen and experience in growing and developing new business pipelines
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
* Intelligent analytical thinker, strategic planner, focused and priority driven.
* Confident and articulate, ability to get things done. Meticulous attention to detail.
* Entrepreneurial attitude, commercial acumen, and excellent communicator.
