Locum Specialty Dentist – Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery (Ref 234025)
Role: The NHS Lothian Locum Specialty Dentist will deliver a tiered, consultant‑led Oral Medicine service with sessions in the Oral Surgery service at the Edinburgh Dental Institute (EDI). This 8‑month fixed‑term, full‑time (40 hours/week) post is based at Lauriston Buildings, Lauriston Place, Edinburgh.

Responsibilities
* Work 10 practice appointments (PAs) with days of work agreed with the Clinical Director.
* Provide clinical care in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery.
* Collaborate with colleagues within Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and the wider Dental Institute.
* Report to Lorraine Canning, Clinical Services Manager, and Professional Leads William Harrison and Laura Bryce.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold a licence to practice.
* Completed at least 3 years of full‑time postgraduate training, or equivalent, with demonstrable experience supporting patients in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery. Four years of full‑time postgraduate training is preferred.
* Equivalent training, experience or competencies acquired in the UK or overseas.
