WHO ARE WE?

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will work as part of a team of clinical engineer technologists based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will have a permanent contract with a 36‑hour working week that is Monday to Friday. Every day is different; you could be called to the accident and emergency to help with an equipment failure one day, or the next day commissioning new medical equipment, or the next day performing planned maintenance in an outpatient clinic. You will receive competency‑based training on a range of low‑risk and non‑complex medical equipment, which will enable you to commission, calibrate, performance‑assure and repair that equipment.

Do you think you can make a difference?
