Design Coordinator / Document Controller Location: York Rate: £350 per day Umbrella PAYE Contract length: 12 months We are recruiting for an experienced Design Coordinator / Document Controller to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects within the rail and infrastructure sector. This is a key role providing coordination between design teams, project management, and the client, ensuring all documentation, processes, and deliverables are managed efficiently and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Manage design documentation in ProjectWise, including uploads, version control, permissions, and issuing through Deliverables Management. Organise and chair PDR (Plan Do Review) meetings and manage the control board ahead of progress meetings. Produce and maintain key project documentation: Survey Strategies, PCIPs, BEPs, and EMPs. Manage and track DRNs, RFIs, and TQs, ensuring timely issue and response. Coordinate design reviews across DSU, MDR, IDC, and CDR phases. Prepare and submit design deliverables, ensuring compliance with client requirements. Liaise with design teams to ensure deliverables are complete and issued on time. Skills & Experience: Strong experience in design coordination or document control within a rail or construction design environment. Proficient in ProjectWise and document control systems. Understanding of the design lifecycle and multidisciplinary project delivery. Excellent organisational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
