Leading a Production Team to ensure the effective running of the process function and/or production lines and associated systems/equipment, fulfilling the production plan requirements and demonstrating an audit ready production environment at all times.
Driving the performance of the process function and/or operation of product equipment/machinery and packaging equipment/machinery including fault finding, changeovers, asset care, and basic machine maintenance activities to maximise OEE performance.
Auditing all monitoring systems required by the Company to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
Managing non-conformance processes and corrective action activities to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards.
Leads departmental internal and external auditing activities, traceability exercises and product trials.
Motivate and manage people activities to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards.
Identify development areas relating to skills, behaviours and competencies and implementing development plans to enhance Standards within the team.
Participation in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities including leading short interval control and root cause analysis assessments.
Working as a key member of the Production Leadership Team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
Leading the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
Pro-actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems.
Demonstrating a willingness to develop within the role to achieve Excellent Competency Levels.
Competent to ensure delivery of robust area / machine / equipment safety checks, immediately reporting any non-conformances, accidents, near misses or food safety concerns and delivery of corrective actions.
Lead key safe behaviour conversations, drive the Factory Safety Observation System, and participate in area risk assessments and emergency evacuation procedures.
Delivery of mandatory safety compliance.
Completion of initial incident/accident notifications and full report.
