THE ROLE: La Vista, also known as "the view," is an elegant Italian restaurant located at Cameron House. It offers breathtaking views of Loch Lomond and features chic décor with floor-to-ceiling windows, eclectic pendant lighting, and statement booths. Guests can enjoy authentic Italian dishes crafted with passion, including handmade pastas, pizzas, seafood, and enticing small plates. La Vista also offers a stylish private dining room for exclusive group experiences and al fresco dining to embrace the natural beauty of the surroundings. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the scope of the role of La Vista Manager is to co-ordinate, support and assist the Food and Beverage management teams in the delivery of exceptional food and beverage service. Food and Beverage at Cameron House include The Boathouse,Clubhouse, Cameron Grill, Lobby Bar, Great Scots Bar, The Tavern, Room Service and Meeting and Event facilties. Key things you will be doing: • Hosting your day-to-day operation, present and accessible to guests and your team • Food and Beverage Duty Management co-ordinating the day to day operational needs of the various outlets • Senior coverage of operational shifts in the event of annual leave, absence or turnover • Liaison with Guest Experience teams to support VIP F&B arrangements • Liaison with Training and Development Manager and F&B and Departmental Trainer • Daily auditing of F&B Standards including the presentation and cleanliness of all areas • Manage and supervise consistent delivery of exceptional guest service standards • Ensuring first class knowledge of all resort facilities, enhancing the guests experience through recommendations and direction around facilities and activites. • Supporting effective communication through daily shift briefings, handovers, monthly meetings and the use of our systems • Handling, resolve and operational follow up of feedback • Attendance at Weekly operational/business sheet meetings and pre event meetings • Arranging resources in line with operational demand and budgets • Supporting with rotas and work plans, ensuring F&B teams are correctly assigned • Recruitment, induction, and ongoing training and progression of F&B teams • Providing feedback and managing performance through probationary reviews, 1:1s and appraisals. • Meeting all legal requirements to keep guests and employees safe, and the business compliant with statutory obligations. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED: • Experience of working in Operations in a 4/5* hotel environment • Current/recent management experience within multi-outlet enviroment/a large restaurant environment (100 covers) at 2 rosette level or equivalent • Strong culinary knowledge, and experience of delivering fine dining/ formal gueridon service and advantage • Experience managing larger teams/ junior managers • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for people and service. • WSET Level 2, Personal Licence Holder, Food Hygiene and Trainer qualifications desirable • Strong IT and organisational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Due to the patterns of work, and layout and location of the resort a UK Driving Licence is essential.
