About the Role
We are working in partnership with an NHS service in London to recruit an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive, forward-thinking team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people, delivering high-quality, evidence-based support through Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and working closely with families, schools, and professionals across education and health.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver targeted speech and language interventions for children and young people across primary and secondary school settings.
* Assess communication needs using a range of appropriate tools and approaches, translating findings into clear, effective care plans.
* Produce high-quality reports written in accessible, child- and family-friendly language, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.
* Confidently deliver training and advice to education staff and other professionals to support inclusive practice.
* Work collaboratively to support children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) within an SEN framework.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications
* Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
Skills & Experience (Essential)
* Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist (or student SLT) in education settings
* Proven experience supporting children with SLCN at both primary and secondary school level
* Strong knowledge of SEND and national guidance supporting schools
* Experience using a range of intervention approaches for school-aged children
* Knowledge and practical experience of assessment methods appropriate for this age group
