The Opportunity
As a Demand & Orders Analyst, you will own all original equipment manufacturer customer orders for Small Drivetrain parts, driving on‑time, in‑full delivery. You’ll manage day‑to‑day order and sales activity, maintain accurate demand data, identify and elevate risks early, and clearly communicate customer commitments. The role focuses on optimising internal resources while retaining the flexibility needed to meet customer requirements in a timely and cost‑effective way.
Responsibilities
* Own and control all new original equipment manufacturer sales orders, coordinating required actions with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth fulfilment.
* Manage customer priorities, including back orders and compliance‑related queries, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
* Act as the primary customer contact and escalation point, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Assess constraints and risks against the sales plan, clearly communicating impacts and mitigation actions to the Commercial Manager.
* Monitor order status, inventory levels, and key supply chain performance metrics, including Customer Shipping Performance, producing regular reports to support business reviews.
* Develop and maintain annual aftermarket customer price lists, reviewing with the Commercial Manager and managing updates throughout the year.
What You Can Demonstrate
* Demand Management: Own and maintain accurate customer demand and forecast data, planning and prioritising workload to manage back orders and past‑due demand while ensuring delivery commitments are met.
* Analytical Thinking: Analyse demand, order, and supply data in a structured and precise way to identify trends, constraints, and risks, using insights to support informed, fact‑based decisions.
* Problem Solving: Identify and investigate order and demand‑related issues, organising information accurately, applying root cause analysis to resolve problems and escalating appropriately where required.
* Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and accurately with customers and internal stakeholders, coordinating actions and timelines to manage inquiries, align expectations, and resolve escalations efficiently.
What You May Have
* Confident using planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MFG Pro, MRP) and Excel (including pivots and lookups) to manage demand, orders, and supply chain visibility.
