We have an exciting opportunity to join our emotional well-being residential service as a Waking Night Residential Children & Young Peoples Worker, on a full-time, permanent basis in Coalville, Leicestershire. About the Home This beautifully designed home supports children and young people aged 818 with a complex range of needs and behaviours. With capacity for up to three residents, it provides a safe, nurturing space where young people can build friendships, develop confidence, and strengthen emotional resilience and independence. Key Responsibilities As a Waking Night Worker, you will: Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence and well-being Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals Support the upkeep of the home, including light household duties Accurately record and maintain key documentation Follow safeguarding procedures at all times Promote a calm, safe, and supportive overnight environment What Were Looking For To be successful, youll need: A valid drivers licence and access to your own vehicle (due to shift times) A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe Motivation to make a positive difference in young peoples lives A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and occasional daytime training or supervision sessions Experience in a childcare, education, or support role is desirable, but not essential - if you have the right attitude and a genuine desire to help young people, wed love to hear from you! About the Service This role is part of a wider residential care service delivering innovative, high-quality support for children and young people across Leicestershire. While your main base will be Coalville, you may occasionally travel to other nearby homes to support the wider team.
