Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and creative English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Berkhamstead this September. This is an exciting temp-to-perm role with the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a vibrant school community.
What You’ll Do
Deliver inspiring English Language & Literature lessons that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
Support students in developing strong communication, analysis, and academic skills.
Use creative approaches and modern technology to bring lessons to life.
Monitor progress through purposeful assessment and constructive feedback.
Build an inclusive classroom where every learner feels supported and motivated.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and contribute to wider school life.
What We’re Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS) with a degree in English, Education, or related subject.
Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or strong unqualified educators with relevant experience.
A confident communicator who builds positive relationships across the school.
Skilled at managing classrooms effectively and tailoring lessons to diverse learners.
Knowledge of GCSE and/or A-Level English curriculum.
