Morgan Hunt are delighted to support a public sector organisation in the search for their next Procurement Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide expert procurement and commercial advice, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy.
* Lead end-to-end tendering activity, including documentation, evaluation and contract award.
* Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk across the procurement lifecycle.
* Develop and implement procurement policy, embedding sustainability.
* Deliver value for money through market analysis, category management and negotiation.
* Lead contract and supplier management, including KPIs and performance improvement.
* Strengthen procurement capability through cross-functional working, systems improvement and training.
Skills and Experience
* Proven track record of delivering value for money and managing commercial risk
* Experience developing and implementing procurement policy
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
* MCIPS (or working towards it) and/or relevant professional accreditation
* Public sector procurement experience and knowledge of relevant legislation
