Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Crewe, Cranham CourtCW1 6HA
(Hybrid working available – minimum 2 days in the office once fully trained)
Salary: £26,000 – £27,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process sales ledger invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
Monitor outstanding debt and perform credit control activities as required
Provide supporting documentation for customer invoicing
Respond to customer queries in a professional and timely manner
Prepare sales accrued income reports for monthly deadlines
Generate and analyse sales ledger KPIs to support financial performance
Perform monthly reconciliations (e.g., Fuel, Sales Analysis)
Complete annual RDCO (Registered Dealer in Controlled Oils) statutory returns
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts as required
Ensure compliance with Arriva's internal control procedures
Carry out additional ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as needed
Person Specification
Qualifications and Requirements
Good general standard of education (Essential)
AAT qualified or working towards AAT (Essential)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Essential)
Experience with accounting software SAP B1 knowledge is advantageous (Desirable)
Full and valid UK driving licence (Desirable)
Experience and Knowledge
Prior experience in an accounting or finance environment (Essential)
Familiarity with SAP B1 or similar accounting systems (Desirable)
