Employment Tax Senior Manager / Director
Location: Newcastle
A growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Employment Tax Senior Manager or Director to join their expanding tax team. This is a client-facing role with responsibility for delivering complex and high-quality Employment Tax advice across a diverse portfolio of clients, predominantly family-owned and owner-managed businesses.
The Role
You will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in Employment Tax, supporting clients and mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing and managing a varied portfolio of clients.
2. Providing strategic support to the Employment Tax leadership in developing the team and service offerings.
3. Establishing scope and budget for projects and briefing team members appropriately.
4. Delivering high-quality Employment Tax advice, covering areas such as HMRC enquiries, employment status/IR35, National Minimum Wage, and more.
5. Supporting wider tax projects including due diligence, CCO, and SAO reviews.
6. Growing the Employment Tax team through business development and relationship building with key clients and sectors.
7. Developing and maintaining relationships with external parties, including HMRC, employment lawyers, and industry bodies.
