We have a new opportunity for a Data Catalogue Librarian to join our Data Platforms team, to take responsibility for ensuring data is easy to find, understand and trust for colleagues across Kingfisher Group. By accurately documenting and connecting data assets to clear business context, this role enables confident reporting, analytics and decision‑making, supporting a strong data‑driven culture across the organisation.

This role will be based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office.

We have a new opportunity for a Data Catalogue Librarian to join our Data Platforms team, responsible for ensuring data is easy to find, understand and trust for colleagues across Kingfisher Group. By documenting and connecting data assets to clear business context, this role enables confident reporting, analytics and decision‑making, supporting a strong data‑driven culture across the organisation. This role is based at Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington, with 12 days a month in the office.

* Curate and organise data assets into clear, logical structures and business glossaries to support ease of discovery and understanding.
* Create, maintain and improve high‑quality metadata, including definitions, lineage and technical details, within the data catalogue.
* Ensure consistent terminology and meaningful links between data assets, business processes and organisational units.
* Develop and deliver training materials that enable both business and technical users to confidently use the data catalogue.
* Provide ongoing user support and act as a subject matter expert for the data catalogue platform.
* Produce insight on catalogue usage, adoption and governance compliance to highlight value and opportunities for improvement.
* Work closely with Data Champions and data owners to embed data governance policies and standards within the catalogue.


Key Qualifications & Responsibilities

* Proven experience administering, structuring and curating a data catalogue tool (specifically Collibra), in a Data Administrator or Librarian‑type role.
* Practical experience using AI to support data curation or cleansing activities.
* Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, governance and data protection best practice.
* Working knowledge of recognised data governance frameworks and standards, such as DAMA‑DMBOK, COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR.
* Clear, accurate written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support others through change and build trusted relationships across technical and business teams.

What we offer
