A global, fast-paced manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Lead to join their team at their impressive site in the Greater London area, Enfield.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking, adaptable, and personable Quality Lead with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a busy environment and reporting to the Quality Manager, you will have substantial experience in quality within a similar facility.

The Quality department currently operates on a straight days shift pattern, with a 37.5-hour work week, five days in the office.
Role: Quality Lead
Location: Greater London, Enfield
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000
Key responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to the Lab Technicians team to optimize performance.
2. Resource & Workforce Planning: Manage short-term labor planning, including schedules, absences, holidays, and leave to ensure seamless lab operations.
3. QESH Support & Compliance: Collaborate with Production Managers to uphold Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health standards by providing guidance and training.
4. Complaint Management: Lead investigations into product and process complaints, developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Audit Readiness & Action Plans: Support QESH audits by preparing documentation, responding to observations, and implementing corrective actions.
6. Project Collaboration: Partner with Engineering & Technology departments on investments and improvement initiatives.
7. KBI Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Track and analyze Key Business Indicators, initiating corrective measures as needed.
8. Operational Excellence: Support initiatives to improve efficiency and drive innovation.
Requirements:
* Experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of compliance with legislation and risk management.
* Experience handling consumer and customer complaints.
* Leadership of teams responsible for quality testing and analysis.
* Hands-on approach and clear communication skills.
* Graduate qualifications in Chemistry, Food, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
