At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! We’re looking for a Children’s and Families Healthy Lifestyle Coach to join our weight management service in Brighton & Hove. The role will encompass delivering a range of weight management interventions, including delivering our Gloji Energy programme to overweight and obese children and their families. Gloji Energy provides eligible families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, manage their weight and increase their physical activity levels. The holistic 12-week programme combines both one to one appointments and weekly group sessions. Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths. A typical day as a Children's and Families Healthy Lifestyle Coach might include : Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on diet, nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and psychological support. Motivate, inspire and support children and parents/carers to manage their weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach. Be able to relate and communicate to both children and their parents/carers, handling sensitive conversations about weight in a professional manner. Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for residents using our policies and procedures. Supporting referral generation activities to promote the service including outreach and primary / secondary care liaison Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources! Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance. To work with us in this role you will need to have some experience of supporting individuals, ideally children or young people, to make healthy lifestyle choices through nutrition, physical activity or health coaching. Coaching qualification, fitness Instructing or experience delivering physical activity would be desirable. However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job we would love to hear from you! And last but not least, a day on us to live by our values! Contract: We have 1 x Full-Time Permanent position available. Ideally working hours will include up to two evenings per week.
