Job Overview
As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and supportive care to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Provide patient care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
* Prepare meals and assist with cooking to meet dietary requirements and /assist with or administer medication.
* Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
* Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans.
Requirements
* A valid driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and their families.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in your care.
