A warm and welcoming primary school in the WF9 area of Wakefield is seeking a full-time teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This role provides an excellent blend of teaching, leadership time and PPA cover across KS2, creating a varied and exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
About the Role
Start Date: Immediately after the Easter holidays
Contract: Long-term, full-time
Location: WF9, Wakefield
Afternoons: Year 6 Class Cover
* Teach a small Year 6 class of 20 pupils
* Support children with complex emotional and social needs
* Provide stability, structure and encouragement as they prepare for the next stage of their education
* Make a meaningful impact in a class that values consistency and strong relationships
Mornings: Leadership & PPA Cover
* A mixture of leadership time, PPA cover and flexible support across Year 3–6
* Opportunity to teach across KS2 and build strong relationships throughout the school
* Work closely with a supportive staff team who value creativity, collaboration and professional autonomy

Candidate Requirements
You will be a strong fit for this role if you are:
* A qualified Primary Teacher (QTS essential)
* Confident and experienced teaching across KS2, particularly Year 6
* Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent when supporting pupils with complex needs
* A strong communicator who builds trust and positive relationships
* Adaptable and able to deliver engaging lessons across multiple year groups
