The role goes beyond traditional trade journalism. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a more research-driven, analytical content platform serving executives, operators and investors across the ports and terminals ecosystem.
Responsibilities include:
* Producing in-depth, well-researched articles and sector analysis
* Contributing to structured research outputs, including rankings and data-led reports
* Conducting high-level interviews with industry executives
* Supporting the development of digital-first content formats
* Fact-checking and ensuring institutional-grade accuracy
* Generating forward-looking story ideas aligned with industry transformation themes (automation, electrification, infrastructure investment, consolidation)
* Collaborating closely with the editorial and leadership team as the platform scales

Qualifications:
* Strong reporting and analytical writing skills
* Ability to synthesise complex operational and financial information clearly and accurately
* Comfort working with structured data and research-driven outputs
* Intellectual curiosity about infrastructure, logistics and global trade
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth environment
* Experience covering shipping, logistics, ports or infrastructure is advantageous
* At least: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, Political Science or a related field preferred (Master's Degree preferred)
* The Company will consider, in exceptional circumstances, equivalent education in an unrelated field, if extensive work experience in the relevant field can be demonstrated
