Ecology Building Society has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team.We lend on sustainable properties that have a positive impact on the environment and each of our Members’ projects is interesting and unique.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the underwriting for customers seeking a regulated residential mortgage loan, while ensuring adherence to the Society’s Lending Policy and Mortgage Procedures and compliance with all PRA / FCA guidance and regulations.
You will be the person responsible for underwriting applications for customers seeking a regulated mortgage loan - as every project we support is different, you'll enjoy a varied case load and the opportunity to liaise with applicants to help them make their dreams a reality - whilst at the same time having a positive impact on the environment.
What we ask of you is that you are an experienced Mortgage Underwriter capable of assessing a packaged case, including the risk profile and financial performance of the borrower and security.
You are an excellent communicator both written and verbally and you will provide excellent customer service to our members. If you don't currently hold the full CeMap qualification, we will look to support you in achieving it.We ask that you join us with a commitment to working to the very best of your ability.
