HV Fitter
Manchester – Field Based
£55,000 to £60,000+ Overtime + Vehicle + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday
Neos Engineering are working with a highly respected engineering business that specialises in high-voltage (HV) switchgear retrofitting and automation, operating on critical infrastructure projects across the UK. They have huge HV experience within their team, they've developed an industry-leading range of actuator products used on legacy and modern switchgear across multiple OEMs.
Due to continued growth and demand across DNO regions, they're now looking for HV Fitters with current DNO authorisations (ENWL, NPG, or SPEN) to join their expanding field service team in the North of the UK.
The Role:
Carrying out mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of HV switchgear actuators
Working on live substations and industrial sites across the North region
Fault-finding, testing, and assisting with retrofit upgrades of legacy equipment
Liaising directly with site staff and DNO representatives
Completing site reports, documentation, and working to strict safety protocols
Travelling across multiple client sites as required
The Candidate:
Authorised to work under ENWL, NPG or SPEN DNOs (essential)
Experienced with HV switchgear installation and retrofit
Strong mechanical and electrical fitting background (apprenticeship or time-served preferred)
Good understanding of HV safety rules, permits, and working practices
ECS/CSCS card (preferred)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
