Prevention & Engagement Worker (Ref: 0007ZC)
As a Prevention and Engagement Worker, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners, and internal clinical/mental health teams to ensure clients receive prompt advice and treatment.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve delivering an integrated service by completing assessments, recovery plans, referrals, support, care coordination, and appropriate interventions (e.g., psychosocial, pharmacotherapy, harm reduction). You will confidently assess WithYou clients, conducting triage and comprehensive assessments, making appropriate onward referrals to specialist agencies.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* OCN/NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or willing to achieve within 12 months
Experience
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or related fields
* Knowledge of substance misuse and related issues
* Successful experience working with substance misuse clients
* Understanding of health and safety, risk assessment, group work, care planning, harm reduction, and related therapies
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and build effective relationships
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, to ensure suitability for working with vulnerable populations.
