Select Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Norwich for a Machine Manufacturing Operative.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing team, assembling and testing mechanical and electrical products to high quality standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products
Work to production schedules and meet output targets
Accurately follow engineering drawings and build procedures
Complete sub-assembly and spares work orders on time
Maintain quality standards and complete associated documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Liaise with quality and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Assist other departments where required
Key Skills & Experience
Experience using hand tools and assembly techniques
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements
Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Hours & Pay
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
£13.00 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
