Senior Document Controller / Lead DC
Somerset | £215m EV Manufacturing Facility (Phase One)
My client, a Tier-1 main contractor, is delivering a flagship EV manufacturing facility in Somerset, with Phase One valued at £215m. Due to the scale and complexity of the scheme, they are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller / Lead DC to take full ownership of document control on this mega project.
This is a high-profile, long-term opportunity on a future-focused development with genuine responsibility and progression.
The Role
* Lead document control on a major EV manufacturing project
* Managing circa 4,000 drawings across multiple disciplines
* Line management of a team of 2 Document Controllers
* Reporting directly to the Design Director
* Setting up, managing, and enforcing document control procedures
* Acting as the central point of contact for consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Maintaining registers, workflows, and ensuring compliance and audit readiness
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Senior Document Controller or Lead DC
* Tier-1 main contractor background preferred
* Demonstrable exposure to major / large-scale construction projects
* Viewpoint / 4Projects experience essential
* (ACC and SharePoint experience highly beneficial)
* Confident managing high drawing volumes and complex information flows
* Strong leadership, organisation, and attention to detail

* £45,000 – £50,000 DOE
