Location: Dundee, community based.
Salary: £22,932 (£12.60 per hour) per annum.
Hours: 3 sessions of 18 hours and 2 sessions of 35 hours available.
Contract: Permanent.
Regulated Service: Successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting.
What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?
* Work closely with people, their families and other professionals to create care plans tailored to their needs and goals.
* Assist and enable individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility support.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
* Monitor and evaluate individuals’ progress, adjusting care plans as needed to promote optimal recovery and well‑being.
* Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of interactions, care plans, and progress.
To be a successful Support Worker, you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar care setting; full training in person‑centred care is not essential.
* The right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
* Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of person‑centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
* Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
