Business Analyst | Enterprise HR Platform | Canary Wharf | £60,000–£75,000
This isn't a requirements-gathering role. If you want to write specs and hand them over the fence, this isn't for you. If you want to get into the data, figure things out, wear multiple hats and actually shape how a function is built.... read on.
The opportunity
We're building a brand new enterprise technology function from scratch inside a Banking backed business being carved out as a fully standalone entity. The platform at the centre of it is enterprise HR technology — but the scope goes well beyond that. You'll be working across domains, picking up whatever the programme needs, and evolving with the role as it grows.
The environment
Forget big bank culture. The team has deliberately built something different: a fintech-style organisation in Canary Wharf, flat structure, c-suite on the same floor, modern SaaS and cloud tooling throughout. Currently 10–20 people and scaling fast. Most people choose to come in more than they have to.....because the work and the team are genuinely good.
The role
You'll be expected to operate independently from day one. That means getting into the data yourself, asking the questions nobody has thought to ask, and driving clarity rather than waiting for direction. The scope will shift — that's by design.
- Hands-on data analysis and SQL across business and technical domains
- Working directly with senior stakeholders including c-suite
- Translating ambiguous problems into clear, actionable outputs
- Contributing across multiple workstreams as the programme scales
What we're looking for
You're probably a few years post-grad — enough experience to operate credibly and independently, but still hungry, still building, still on the rise. You've worked across different areas rather than sitting in one lane. You're technically curious: you understand data, you're comfortable with SQL, and you actually want to know how things work rather than just executing tasks.
Critically: you're comfortable with ambiguity. The role will evolve. That should excite you, not worry you.
We're not looking for someone who has been doing the same job for a decade. We're not looking for a project manager in disguise. We're not looking for someone who just gathers requirements and documents them. We're looking for someone who rolls up their sleeves.
What's on offer
- £60,000–£75,000 base depending on experience
- Strong benefits package including bonus
- Real autonomy and scope from day one
- A collaborative, high-trust team building something genuinely new
If this sounds like the kind of role you've been looking for — let's talk.
