Home-Start South Warwickshire is a charity offering emotional support and practical help to families with young children in the South Warwickshire area. We work with trained volunteers who visit families at home providing support and demonstrating good parenting skills, as well as running groups to support parent wellbeing.
At a very exciting time of development, we are recruiting for a Fundraising Coordinator to nurture community, individual and corporate relationships for the charity.
We’re looking for someone who is skilled in initiating, building and managing key relationships, has exceptional organisational skills and can influence/negotiate at all levels.
Role Purpose
The Fundraising Coordinator will assist in developing community fundraising as well as individual and and business partnerships and engagement to raise the local profile of Home-Start South Warwickshire (Home-Start Warwickshire) so we can deliver vital early years and perinatal support to all those who need it.
Fundraising Responsibilities
* Work on fundraising activities as directed by the Operations Manager and Trustees.
* Undertake training and development to enhance fundraising skills.
* Research new opportunities for fundraising and maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities.
* Develop and deliver community fundraising initiatives and events.
* Build relationships with local businesses for sponsorship and partnerships.
* Communicate with Local Councils (Parish, Town, District and County)
* Represent the charity at community events and networking groups.
* Support fundraising volunteers and community fundraisers.
* Use a CRM to record donor interactions and track income.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and Fundraising Regulator standards.
* Carry out other associated duties as they may arise, develop or be assigned.
Communications Responsibilities
* Manage and create content for HSSW’s Social Media Communications.
* Keep HSSW’s website updated.
* Maintain consistent brand voice.
* Gather case studies and impact stories.
* Oversee communications, eg. Newsletters and Annual Reports sent out to stakeholders.
Person Specification
* Proven experience of initiating and building effective and engaging relationships with individuals and businesses on all levels, from community to corporate.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent producing content for social media, newsletters, or website updates.
* Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical fundraising.
* Experience in a small charity or community organisation.
* Creative approach to fundraising campaigns.
* Confident using a fundraising CRM (although training will be given)
* Knowledge of early years or perinatal support.
