We are seeking an experienced lawyer, associate or above (ideally 6+ PQE), to join our specialist team in Birmingham or Manchester. This is a role for someone who wants senior responsibility, high‑quality work, and the opportunity to nurture a team with purpose.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of key client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser on sensitive and strategically important matters.
* Lead and nurture colleagues, offering supervision, guidance and development support.
* Play an active role in business development, helping the team grow its market‑leading presence.
You will work on a wide range of interesting and meaningful matters, including:
* Delivering tailored, practical advice that supports clients’ missions and helps them serve their communities effectively.
* Advising on senior, complex and high‑stakes employee relations issues – disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination and safeguarding‑related matters.
* Supporting large‑scale reorganisations, restructuring, redundancy programmes and TUPE transfers.
* Managing Employment Tribunal claims for respondent clients across our core sectors.
Qualifications
* Significant Employment Law experience (ideally 6+ PQE) with the confidence to lead on complex matters.
* A track record of supervising, mentoring or developing colleagues.
* Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to become a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.
* Clear, pragmatic communication and excellent drafting skills.
* A collaborative approach, grounded in strong professional values.
