Due to continued expansion, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Stairlift Engineer to join our team in Newport. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
The role:
As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for installing stairlift equipment and adaptations across areas covered by N-Able. This includes surveying properties for new and second-hand stairlift installations for Local Authorities and private customers, and providing quotes in accordance with guidelines. Further duties include:
* Demonstrating the operation and maintenance of equipment to service users, relatives, or carers
* Completing 6-monthly and annual servicing according to manufacturer specifications for the N-Able Service, in compliance with LOLER regulations
* Working as part of a team to provide 24/7 coverage for breakdowns and out-of-hours calls within N-Able's coverage areas
* Providing training to other engineers within the team when necessary
* Attending all required training to stay updated with current legislation and manufacturer product changes
* Providing cover for other areas of the business during low and high demand periods
We are seeking an Engineer with experience installing, maintaining, and servicing equipment and adaptations. Additionally, you should demonstrate:
* Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations
* Experience with fitting methods for major adaptations, including stairlifts and through-floor lifts
* Experience working within residential care environments is desirable
* Ability to demonstrate products and equipment to service users and carers, and adapt explanations for understanding
* Full UK Driving Licence to meet travel requirements
