Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Counterbalance FLT Driver for a Client in the Bridgend area. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, load and unload goods, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy to support smooth warehouse functions. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Duties Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records accordingly Handle materials carefully, ensuring safe lifting techniques for heavy loads Support warehouse organisation by stacking, storing, and retrieving items as required Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as part of stock management procedures Skills Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation processes Basic mathematical skills for accurate counting, weighing, and measurements Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Physical fitness to handle heavy loads and perform prolonged periods of lifting and standing This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience in warehousing and forklift operation to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
