The Production department specializes in creating organic soups, broths, and meals for a diverse range of Retail, Catering, and Wholesale customers. Using fresh ingredients from the farm whenever possible, including meat exclusively supplied by our abattoir, milk from our own Creamery, and vegetables and herbs from our Market Garden, the Production Assistant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional quality and taste ABOUT THE ROLE The Production Assistant is responsible for ensuring that food production at Daylesford Organic's award-winning production unit is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You will be expected to follow established recipes and procedures meticulously, assist with the preparation and handling of fresh, organic ingredients sourced directly from our farm, and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant food production environment. The role requires a hands-on approach and a strong attention to detail, as well as a genuine passion for sustainable, high-quality food. In this position, you will also support the team with stock rotation, labelling, packaging, and fulfilling orders for our diverse customer base, including Retail, Catering, and Wholesale clients. Salary: 12.70 per hour HOURS: 45hours Mon - Fri Between 05.00am - 16.30pm RESPONSIBILITIES Execute all products in line with company specifications and quality expectations Treat all food with care and respect, as if preparing it for personal consumption Prepare all food items professionally and within required timeframes Follow organic standards established by the Soil Association Help maintain the award-winning standard of all Daylesford Organic products Ensure ingredients are properly prepared, weighed, and measured ahead of production Maintain adherence to cleaning schedules at all times Separate waste correctly into designated recycling bins and remove it regularly during and after shifts Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within set time constraints Work in a safe and efficient manner to achieve daily order fulfilment targets Keep wastage to an absolute minimum through mindful preparation and handling Meet internal and external audit requirements by following all protocols and standards Support the Production Unit Manager in achieving financial and budgetary goals for the unit Participate in effective communication within the team regarding any changes to recipes, procedures, or operational needs Communicate with the company and customers regarding any quality issues or shortages in the required timescale Contribute to meaningful social and environmental improvements in line with the company's B Corp journey and sustainability vision Inspire and empower customers, suppliers, and partners to live and work more consciously, creating a lasting positive impact PERKS AND BENEFITS Discounts: We offer a range of discounts on our products, treatments, and dining experiences from day 1.
